RECEPTIONIST/SECRETARY

Rushmore Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. (REPC) is the wholesale power provider for eight rural electric cooperatives in Western and Central South Dakota. REPC is a Rapid City-based company that provides a communications and control system for real-time monitoring of the electrical system. Additionally, REPC provides various services to co-ops and agencies through its Rushmore Engineering and Rushmore Communications businesses. REPC and its Distribution Cooperative Members work to bring innovative electrical solutions to the communities they serve. REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent. Additional training in computer software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required. Secretarial or related experience is desirable. The nature of the position requires trustworthiness, professionalism, and courtesy.  Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Must be able to organize work to meet deadlines. Must be able to carry out a variety of tasks, which require a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.  A pleasant and clear speaking voice is required. Must speak fluent English. A valid South Dakota driver's license is required.

duties. Essential physical functions of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Ability to lift 30 pounds unaided to a height of 36 inches.
  • Ability to move easily throughout the building, including stairs.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

Within the limits of established objectives, policies, budgets, and regulatory requirements, assumes responsibility and has commensurate authority as delegated by the Chief Financial Officer, except as specified, for the performance of the following activities:

  • To assist in the performing of accounting procedures in the accounting system for Rushmore Electric Power Cooperative, Inc. and Rushmore Communications, Inc.
  • Serves as hospitality hostess to help coordinate food and supplies and cleanup afterward for in-house meetings and events.
  • Handles travel arrangements as delegated.
  • Assists with annual meeting arrangements and other off-site meetings and events.
  • Monitors and maintains FAX machine, printers/copiers, and postage meter.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

RELATIONSHIPS  

Internal

  • Co-workers: To advise, assist and promote a good working relationship and team effort.

External

  • Members:  To provide advice and assistance.  To explain the Cooperative's plan, procedures, service programs, and objectives at every opportunity.

 

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Working conditions are those of normal office setting. Because of the position's various duties, some travel may be required.

 

COMPENSATION
Rushmore Electric will provide the following compensation:

  • Wage Range: $22/hr. - $27/hr.
